Two Pigeons On A Pilgrimage : A Hajj Story

Two pigeons leave their nest and follow the pilgrims all the way through Hajj — told in rhyme, and in the exact order the rites take place.

It begins at the airport with pilgrims in ihram, circles the Ka'bah, moves between Safa and Marwa, pauses for Zamzam, then carries on to Mina, Arafah and Muzdalifah. Because it follows the real sequence, children finish it with a proper sense of how Hajj actually unfolds rather than a handful of disconnected facts.

The book closes with a Hajj flow diagram, two activities, and a child-friendly glossary of forty Arabic and Islamic terms. Illustrated by Aisha Dean, who was twelve years old when she drew it.
