Ibn Sina - The Father of Modern Medicine (Muslim Scientists Series)

Ibn Sina finished his medical training as a teenager and went on to write the Canon of Medicine — a work that remained a standard textbook in European universities for some six hundred years.

He wrote on diagnosis, surgery, contagion and the treatment of disease with a rigour that had not been seen before, and is widely called the father of modern medicine as a result.
